Gifted, Creative, and Talented
Definition:
Students, children, or youth who give evidence of high achievement capability in areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity, or in specific academic fields, and who need services and activities not ordinarily provided by the school in order to fully develop those capabilities.
Characteristics:
- Gifted students tend to think abstractly
- Love to try new activities
- Tend to have interests that are common with older children and adults
- Great social skills
- Do not enjoy working in groups
- Open minded and receptive to new ideas

Application for Teachers
- Get to know the children individually
- Adapt to their strength, but also help them understand/develop their "weakness"
- Understand that they do not like group projects
- Do not always use them as the tutor/example
- Give them tasks to think abstractly
